I strongly believe that there is room within discourse for people to have opposing views. There is room to be feminist and disagree with some aspects of feminism. There is room to support lgbtq people and to disagree with some streams of discourse.
I would even go so far as to say that there is room for people to disagree wrongly! People should be able to have discussions without being branded as evil or the enemy for having an off opinion! If you support womens rights but make one post about how you think there is a misreading of statistics regarding the gender pay gap, then that shouldn’t cancel out everything else you’ve said and done. It’s a complicated topic; there IS nuance to it, and that nuance should be able to be discussed without the people talking about it being attacked!

it's hard to come to terms with the fact that you can't do things that you used to be able to do. I'll be honest, it feels like you're losing control of your life. it can feel very isolating and hopeless. its scary and overwhelming, and it's so hard to deal with.
